I’m Roy.
I’ve always had a restless, childlike curiosity that forces me to get to the bottom of how things actually work.
I’m currently pursuing my Philosophy and Computer Science double major at the Open University.
What I do
Technically, I work in security research and software development. I specialize in:
- Penetration Testing: End-to-end testing from a researcher’s perspective.
- AppSec: Logical exploitation across Android, Web, Active Directory, and niche systems.
- Code Audit & Debugging: A programming language polyglot. I can navigate, debug, and deconstruct large, sophisticated codebases in almost any language.
- Development: Rapid PoC and prototyping, as well as focused, research-driven feature development. I use many languages, but Python is my strongest.
What I like
I have a particular intrest in these fields, to varying degrees:
- Programming language & runtime internals.
- Network protocol tunneling and bypass tricks.
- Functional programming and cryptography.
Beyond the Logic
When I’m not deconstructing code or philosophy:
- Salsa and latin dance: I love Salsa, and currently mastering my Cuban Casino style.
- Bouldering: I am an avid boulder climber, mostly indoors in gyms, currently climbing ~V6. I love to mix it up with some calistentics and weights, and am currently attempting a handstand.
- Freediving/ Apnea: I am a beginner freediver, with a PB of 22m both in CWT bifines and FIM, and static record of 3:30.
- Solo Travel: I have traversed Latin America solo over a year, mostly over land with buses, hitchhikes and a lot of luck.
- Languages: I am a polyglot, fluently speaking english, hebrew and spanish, with more planned.
- Origami: I love folding paper sometimes. You can check out my latest work in my Origami Gallery.
I am an infamous dabbler, with few things I haven’t tried, from playing instruments, to sketching and doodle, collecting fountain pens, and whatnot :).
There is always more to learn, and I am here for it.
